Price Schedules for Audio Visual Services
Categories of Services and Pricing Levels Category 1 UMBC Direct Instruction - As the primary responsibility of Audio Visual Services, equipment and services provided in direct support for scheduled classroom instruction will not be subject to any charges. This group receives priority. Materials and expendables billed on an at-cost basis. Category 2 UMBC Activities - Category 2 groups receive secondary priority in scheduling equipment and services. This category includes Continuing Education classes and programs, chartered campus organizations, department sponsored programs, UMBC grant funded projects, UMBC Self-Support groups and departments and clubs and student groups. Music and outdoor events are not supported. Special arrangements must be made for events outside of normal working hours. Category 3 Other groups and individuals - If and when available, we will service this category as a last priority request. This category includes: UMS campuses, state agencies, nonprofit organizations and individual faculty/staff requests.
Labor Rates Note: Labor rates are based on a per hour rate with a 1 hour minimum. Higher rates (typically 150% of the listed rate) will apply for work done after our normal working hours. Staff are subject availability.
Equipment Price Schedules Note: All prices are per hour with a 1 hour minimum. Daily rates are 5 times the hourly rate and a weekly rate is available at 3 times the daily rate. All equipment is subject to availability.
Damage or Loss of Equipment It is the responsibility of the person or group arranging for the borrowing of the equipment to insure its return in the condition it was lent. Any damage or loss will result in that person or group having to pay for repair or replacement.
