Projector Instructions


Connecting a Laptop to a Data Projector
(rev. 6/06)

1. Plug Laptop and Data Projector into AC Power wall outlet

2. Connect the two units via 15-pin VGA cable

 

3. Turn Data Projector on, wait 30 - 60 seconds

4. Turn Laptop on last

If Laptop display does not appear on screen:

a) Press or check source/input button of Data Projector - wait 5 seconds after each press

b) Reboot Laptop

c) Use Lptop keys to toggle extenal display - hold down the "Fn Key" and the "Display Key"

FA 018 Slide Projector Users :
contact AV Services (#2461) for key

  1. Turn on cabinet power using switch found on left.
  2. Use remote to turn on/off projectors.
  3. Set focus using knob on projectors first.
  4. Ring on lens for zoom (should be pre-set).

When finished:

  1. Turn off projectors using remote.
  2. Turn off cabinet power switch.
  3. Put remote back in cabinet and lock.

Your colleagues will thank you for your consideration.

AC 305 Users:

  1. Press SOURCE SELECT for proper input:
    1. VGA for computer
    2. number for video (use channel 3)
  2. To select channel 3, press Program - or + 3.
  3. To use cable TV, press C on switcher behind cabinet on floor.
  4. You may select channels using Program - or + ; or set TV to channel 3, and use VCR channel select.

Projector Instructions - PH107 & 401

  1. Lower screen using wall switch
  2. Aim remote at projector
  3. Press On/Off button once -wait 10 seconds
  4. Press appropriate button for source:
    1. Data 1 for computer source
    2. Video for video source
  5. Turn on power to wall rack (top right corner of rack)
  6. For computer - connect laptop to input plate using 15 pin M-M VGA cable
  7. For video - put in tape, press play
  8. PRESS ON/OFF BUTTON ONCE WHEN FINISHED - BULBS ARE VERY EXPENSIVE

  1. Lower screen using wall switch
  2. Aim remote at projector
  3. Press On/Off button once -wait 10 seconds
  4. Press appropriate button for source
    1. Data 1 for computer source
  5. For computer - connect laptop to input plate using 15 pin M-M VGA cable
  6. PRESS ON/OFF BUTTON ONCE WHEN FINISHED - BULBS ARE VERY EXPENSIVE

  1. Lower screen using wall switch
  2. Press POWER button on remote once -wait 30 seconds!
  3. Press SOURCE button on remote until correct input displays on screen
    1. Computer - Data 1
    2. Video - Video 1
  4. Switch rack unit power on (top right corner of rack)
  5. For computer - connect laptop to input plate using 15 pin M-M VGA cable
  6. For video - put in tape, press play
  7. Adjust volume on amplifier in rack unit
  8. Focus and zoom may be adjusted on projector remote
  9. Press POWER button twice to turn off projector ALWAYS TURN OFF PROJECTOR WHEN FINISHED - BULBS ARE VERY EXPENSIVE
