Data Storage
Our MySQL data is mirrored between storage located in both our Public Policy and ENG datacenters, providing for up-to-the-minute recoverability of data in the case of a catastrphic outage.
The MySQL server itself is single-instance, however, in the case of a server failure it would be possible to import the storage onto another server manually.
We are planning on implementing a MySQL cluster in the Summer '07 timeframe, which will provide both data and server redundancy.
