SP06 configuration
We are using two servers, running windows server 2003.

BB-app7.umbc.edu
BB-app7.umbc.edu is a four processor, 2,8GHz DELL 2850 with 8 GB of RAM, located in Rack E2. It runs the Blackboard application via Perl, Java, Tomcat, and IIS.
Disk config
- C: system drive ~10 GB
- E: Holds Java and other apps as necessary. Sized at the remainder of the available disk.
- C,E are located on two local 36GB drives, mirrored through the servers embedded PERC4 raid card.
- F: holds the blackboard application and the large courses directory.
- F: is a software mirror of two LUNs on the Sun StorEDGE 3511 arrays.

BB-db7.umbc.edu
BB-db7.umbc.edu is a two processor, 3.2GHz DELL 2650 with 6 GB of RAM, located in Rack E1. Runs the database that supplies the blackboard application with data.
- C: system drive ~10 GB
- E: Holds some database backup files and other apps as necessary. Sized at the remainder of the available disk.
- C,E are located on two internal 36GB drives, mirrored through the servers embedded PERC4 raid card.
- F: holds the blackboard database and most of the database backups.
- F: is a software mirror of two LUNs on the Sun StorEDGE 3511 arrays
- L: Holds the SQL transaction logs and a copy of the database backups(pending)
- L: is a software mirror of two internal 73GB drives.
