What is a "wiki" ?
Taking from the Wikipedia definition - Wikipedia being the most notable user of this schema - a wiki is:
- a type of website that allows users to add and edit content and is especially suited for constructive collaborative authoring
- based on the Hawaiian term wiki, meaning "quick", "fast", or "to hasten" [Hawaiian dictionary]

What is the SysCore Wiki all about?
This wiki is a repository of information related to UMBC OIT's SysCore group. There are items of interest to local sysadmins and users nestled within.
We have chosen to use a wiki format so that all of our sysadmins can add, update, and generally disseminate information via one shared portal without having to fiddle mad HTML bits.
