FYI: 2003 Blackboard User's Conference
Presentations Available Online
The Annual Blackboard
National Users Conference was recently held in Baltimore on February
25-27. Karin Readel presented a session on "Making Large
Classes Small: Building Student Engagement with Blackboard" and
John Fritz, Bob Armstrong and Dave Freeman attended to glean
as much information as possible about the upcoming 6.0 Blackboard
Learning System release.
Blackboard is making
available all of the conference presentation materials that were
shown during the breakout sessions so that faculty, staff and
students can see what other institutions are doing.
Examples of the numerous sessions include presentations on ecommerce,
hybrid courses, online assessments and creative ways of using
Blackboard communities.
The materials can be
viewed by going to http://www.mra-services.com/blackboardtradeshow03/ ,
clicking on "Program-At-A-Glance" and then clicking on the sessions
that you are interested in. The links to the PowerPoint presentations
are located inside each session description.
