About

Blackboard is a web-based, password-protected course management system used by approximately 12,000 students and 500 faculty in more than 1,200 UMBC courses each semester. At its best, Blackboard allows students and faculty to share documents such as syllabi, presentations, handouts and notes; communicate with each other through chats, discussion boards and email; and complete online assessments such as quizzes, surveys and interactive tutorials.

If you need help with something not covered in these help pages, please feel free to contact the help desk.
