The Assignment
tool allows students to submit completed assignments into a Blackboard course for retrieval by the instructor.
This tool allows the designer the opportunity to create and
post an assignment in any of the content areas and keep the assignment submissions in a convenient working environment.

| Reviewing
and Grading Assignments |
Instructors can
retrieve and grade assignments through the Grade Center, much
like any other kind of assessment. However, Assignments have
other tools that make managing multiple files much easier.
1. To retrieve
an individual student's submission, select the individual
entry with the green symbol (!).
2. Mouse over the cell and click on the double chevron on the right and then "Grade Details". Once the page opens, click on "View" and you will have access to the submitted document. You can use this same page to send the corrected document back to the student. You can also add comments.
3.
To return a graded assignment, click the individual entry
from the gradebook and then click "View". In the
feedback to student section, enter a grade, comments, attach
the graded assignment and click .
