Logging
Into Blackboard at UMBC
Assuming
you've got a valid UMBC userid,
there are three ways to login to Blackboard at UMBC:
1. Directly
from any Web browser with the following URL (or Web address):
http://blackboard.umbc.edu
2. From
within myUMBC
(under the "Academics" tab).
- You won't need to
login again since myUMBC and Blackboard share the same
userid/password
3. By
finding the "Using Blackboard at UMBC" site through
the UMBC Search Engine (or at http://www.umbc.edu/blackboard).
Authentication:
Using Your UMBC Userid
Except for
myUMBC--which uses the same userid/password as Blackboard--you
will be prompted for your UMBC userid when login directly from the
Web or through the "Using Blackboard at UMBC" site.
NOTE:
If you get a constant "security" notice that doesn't
let you get into Blackboard, the likely problem is that your UMBC
userid has not been added to the Blackboard database. A sure test
is whether you can also login to myUMBC. If you can login to myUMBC,
but not Blackboard, then your UMBC account hasn't been added to
Blackboard. Contact the Help Desk at 410.455.3838 or helpdesk@umbc.edu
to have it added to Blackboard.
If you can't login to
Blackboard or myUMBC, then your account probably hasn't been created.
