Cinecom HTML Certification

Participants registering for the Dreamweaver 2-day class must first be certified by Cinecom Corp. in HTML modules 1 and 3. Cinecom accounts are free to faculty & staff but faculty & staff must register for their Cinecom account by contacting the OIT Helpdesk. Contact the OIT Helpdesk online using the Web at http://www.umbc.edu/oit/helpdesk/workorder.html. When requesting your Cinecom account Include HTML certification in the short description field.

HTML Module 1: After completing Start Creating Your Own Web Pages, the user should be able to:

Recognize HTML commands
Enter some text and basic HTML tags
Format text on the Web page
Add links to other pages
Put images on the Web page

HTML Module 3: After completing Layout and Design for Your Web Pages, the user should be able to:

Add attractive backgrounds and colors
Design and lay out pages
Use image maps
Use tables for effective layouts
