Don't Give Out Your Username or Password

 

It sounds obvious, but don't tell other people your password - even if this person is a trusted colleague or spouse. This is one of the more common causes of account abuse. Even if you trust a person today, you might regret it later on! Your username and password, whether it be for myUMBC or Hotmail or some other web site, should never be available to anyone but you.  NEVER give out your username and password for any Web site. Giving out your information could lead to identity theft, which can have serious repercussions.
