Configuring Sound After Installation

In the vast majority of situations, kudzu should detect your sound hardware during the first boot of your newly installed machine. If this is not the case, you may try the following:

  1. Login as root
  2. Run /usr/sbin/cwredhat-config-soundcard in an xterm (this is a text based program)
  3. Test the detected Sound Card(s), and select the default soundcard

If you do not hear the test sound, consult the Hardware Compatibility List from RedHat.
