Vernier Wireless Authentication

UMBC requires that users authenticate before being granted access to the wireless network. The login process is streamlined & easy to use via any standard web browser. You can get more information on the Vernier Wireless authentication process here:

Step One
	Open your preferred internet broswer while connected to the wireless network.

Step Two
	Automatically you will be redirected to the Vernier Wireless Authentication page, a certificate warning will display as shown in the image on the left. Click Yes to continue.

Step Three
	After clicking Yes to the certificate warning you will be taken to the login page. Login using your UMBC Username and Password, this is the same thing as your myUMBC login.

Step Four
	After logging in it will display your login information in both the original window used to login and also a new popup window.

Step Five
	To logoff Vernier and the wireless network you can click the logoff button on the popup window openned when you login. If you accidently close this window you should still be able to browse the web, to logoff you can return to http://vernier-cs.umbc.edu to logoff.
