FRESHMEN EXCURSIONS
MAKE CONNECTIONS & MEET NEW FRIENDS BEFORE YOUR FRESHMAN YEAR BEGINS.
The UMBC Freshman Excursion allows a small group of first-year students to build group values, trust, and problem-solving skills with their new classmates in a fun outdoor setting.
DATES: Tuesday, July 23 - Thursday, July 25, 2013
(3 days/2 nights)
COST: $250 (includes all meals, lodging, transportation, and activities)
MAX PARTICIPANTS: 60

TUESDAY, JULY 23
8 a.m. - Introductions & Depart UMBC for Hemlock Overlook in Clifton, VA
10 a.m. - Arrive & begin teambuilding activities
12:30 p.m. - Lunch
1 p.m. - Teambuilding / Zipline
6 p.m. - Dinner in Lodge
7:30 p.m. - Campfire & Evening Activities
WEDNESDAY, JULY 24
8:30 a.m. - Wake up, Breakfast &
Pack Bag Lunch
9:30 a.m. - Your choice of Paddling or
Caving Activity

10 a.m. Depart for UMBC
