A special Family Orientation is available for family members
who want to learn more about UMBC as they too become part
of they university community. The programs are held in conjunction
with the Orientation Course Selection Day on January 6.
Families will receive an overview of academics and learn
more about the activities and opportunities available to
their students at and around UMBC. Sessions will touch on
topics including transitioning to college,
student
health services to housing,
financial
aid to campus
security and many others.

The Family Orientation Programs are held in conjunction with
the student’s Orientation Course Selection Day on January
6. Please make sure you indicate your desire to attend on the
student's online Orientation and Placement Test Reservation
form. Note:
Parents of students not attending the January 6 program are
still welcome to attend the Family Orientation Program on that day.
