Orientation 2008 is where your adventure begins. The Freshmen Orientation Program begins with placement testing in the spring, continues with Course Selection Day this summer and concludes with the Welcome Week celebration during the week preceding the start of classes.

		DATES TO REMEMBER March-May 2008 Ongoing: Online Placement Testing. Students are required to take the placement tests during their assigned one-week time slot. May 1: Enrollment Intent Form and deposit due. Orientation and Placement Test Reservation Request Form due. Housing Application, contract and deposit due. June-July 2008 June 19-30, July 7-9 and August 7: Orientation Course Selection Days. Your orientation confirmation will be sent to you following receipt of your orientation reservation request form. August-September 2008 August 23 - September 1: Welcome Week. A week-long series of social and educational events designed to help you meet other students and learn about opportunities available at UMBC, both inside and outside the classroom. *Prior to registration, students must submit the Mandatory UMBC Health Form.
