Favorite UMBC Memory: Although they are emotional, my favorite part of the school year is when we reflect on what we did that year as part of student organizations. Many of us work very hard throughout the entire year and I love every chance I get to reflect on how we have grown as people and how much the other people in our lives mean to us. Therefore, I remember some great last meetings of the semester and end-of-the-year celebrations.
Advice for new UMBC students: Try new things. The two most important things in my life, academics, and career right now I have discovered through joining student organizations on a whim. I joined an educational service organization and a women's leadership group without knowing that the people I've met would change the way I see everything. I went to the first meetings of these groups nervous and somewhat uninterested, but was quickly drawn in by the leadership I witness in my peers.
