Favorite UMBC Memory: This past winter it had snowed two days prior and the rainfall that morning had turned the snow to ice. That night my friends and I were leaving the basketball game from the RAC and we saw one of those wet floor signs outside. We took it and ran to a hill and we sled for a good hour on the ice. We ended up pretty bruised and scraped up but it was a lot of fun.
Advice for New UMBC Students: When you come to UMBC you are essentially starting a new chapter in your life. You'll still have all of your old friends and hobbies, but don't be afraid to try new things. There are plenty of new experiences waiting for you. Also, try not to let your preconceived notions of how "life" may be, stop you from engaging in new activites, approaching people, and most importanly, of expressing yourself. |

Advice for New UMBC Students: Stay as organized as possible. Keep a dry erase calendar that has all of your due dates and upcoming events to make sure that you don't overbook yourself or overlook any due dates. It really helped me make things work during my freshman year.
