The Transfer Orientation program begins with Course Selection Day this winter.
The day-long event is designed to provide you with the opportunity to meet
both current and new UMBC students, faculty and staff; learn more about academic
options and requirements; begin planning your academic career; register for
spring classes; and learn more about student life, both on-and off-campus.
Orientation Course Selection Days will
be held December 14, 2009, January 6, January 7,
and January 15, 2010. The day begins with check-in at 8 a.m.,
concludes at 5 p.m. and includes lunch. You will also receive
information about advisement, registration and the Welcome Week
celebration. A limited number of spaces are available for our
Evening Orientation program. This session is designed for evening
part-time students only. This program begins with check-in at
5 p.m. and end at 8:30 p.m. on January 7, 2010.
