Anyone who believes they have been exposed to an infectious disease shall:

• Thoroughly wash the area with soap and hot water, if direct personal contact was made.
• Gather information about the person involved that is available.
• Notify a supervisor immediately.
• The supervisor must notify Office of Environmental Safety and Health immediately.
• Contact the closest hospital emergency room and advise the doctor of all the facts about the exposure and follow the doctor’s instructions
