Timely notification to the President’s Council on the nature and extent of a crisis affecting the campus is imperative to facilitate the exchange of accurate information about the crisis and to initiate recovery efforts to restore routine University functions. Outreach to the Staff Senates will provide timely accurate information on the status of the crisis, and provide an important communications link between the organizations and those responsible for resolving the crisis and restoring the University to routine operations. Supporting the administration’s efforts to provide timely information to all members of the campus community to reduce rumors is crucial.
