The Director of the Counseling Center in coordination with the Director of University Health Services will designate a facility to accommodate victim/witness services away from the incident. (THIS SHOULD BE REFERRED TO AS A QUIET AREA). During a crisis, the facility should be secure from the media and on-lookers. However, the location must be publicized so victims and witnesses will know where to go for help. The facility should have a contact list with information for various victim/witness resources, such as the National Organization for Victim Assistance and internal or outside resources that may be accessed as needed.
