In Conformity with "THE JEANNE CLERY DISCLOSURE OF CAMPUS SECURITY POLICY AND CAMPUS CRIMES STATISTICS ACT" (formerly the Campus Security Act) we present our statistics which includes statistics for the previous three years concerning reported crimes that occurred on campus; in certain off-campus buildings owned or controlled by UMBC; and on public property within, or immediately adjacent to and accessible from the campus. Students attending classes at the University System of Maryland Shady Grove Center located in Rockville, Maryland may access crime statistics and campus security policy information at http://www.umpd.umd.edu/police_support_services_public_crime.cfm, students attending classes at the Hagerstown Center site may access http://www.frostburg.edu/admin/police/clery_h.pdf.”
The campus publishes a Play It Safe brochure each year that includes institutional policies concerning campus security, such as policies concerning alcohol and drug use, crime prevention, the reporting of crimes, sexual assault, and other matters.
A copy of this brochure can be picked-up at the UMBC Police Department building, or if you would like us to mail you a copy, please email us at police@umbc.edu. Please include your name and mailing address and state that you would like a current copy of the Play It Safe brochure.
