UMBC offers a dial-up service, sometimes known as a PPP, which allows myUMBC account holders Internet access over a telephone line.

To use the Dial-up Service you will need:

• a modem
• a standard phone line.
• a computer operating Windows 98, 2000, ME, NT, XP or AppleMac with sufficient RAM to enable the system to run the appropriate network applications.
