Dean Johnetta G. Davis, (UMCP PROMISE Co-PI) recipient of 2004 Woman of Color Award presented by The President's Commission of Women's Issues: Woman of Color Committee. In addition, Dr. Davis' office (OGRRD) received The Non-Instructional Unit Minority Achievement Award for Outstanding Service presented by The President's Commission on Ethnic Minority Issues.

Congratulations to PROMISE Peer Mentors and Participants for your participation and winning prizes at the April 23, 2004 UMBC/UMB Graduate Research Conference (GRC) and the UMCP Graduate Research Interaction Day (GRID)! UMBC and UMB graduate students presented their work at the UMBC/UMB Graduate Research Conference , UMCP students presented at Graduate Research Interaction Day (GRID). Both events were held on Friday, April 23, 2004. Photos are on the PROMISE Photo album page.
