2007 BOOK SCHOLARSHIP

About the Scholarship...

The Professional Staff Senate (PSS) represents the interests and concerns of the associate staff at UMBC. PSS is offering a $500 book scholarship to an academically eligible undergraduate UMBC student who is currently employed by a UMBC department or office and whose contributions have made a significant impact on the operations or functions of that area. Also, the student must be currently enrolled. The scholarship recipient will receive a $500 credit at the UMBC Bookstore to be used for books and supplies.

Eligibility Requirements...

• Currently Enrolled Student
• Undergraduate Degree-Seeking
• Completion of 30 UMBC credits by 01/31/06
• Cumulative GPA of at least 3.0
• Employed by a UMBC Office/Department
  

Application Procedure...

1) Submit completed application form. (MS Word)

2) Submit a typed personal statement explaining why you should be the recipient of the UMBC Professional Staff Senate Scholarship. See application for details.

3) Submit at least one letter of support from a UMBC Associate Staff member. Other letters will be considered. (MS Word)

4) Submit a recent unofficial copy of your UMBC transcript.
