Lynnda Dahlquist earned a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Purdue University in 1981 and has been a faculty member at UMBC since 1996. Her research interests include the development of effective psychological treatments for the pain and fear children experience during medical treatment and child and family adjustment to chronic illnesses. |

Amy Hahn is the current lab coordinator for the pediatric psychology lab. She is currently a third year graduate student in the Human Services Psychology program at UMBC, with a concentration in Child Clinical. She received her B.A. in Psychology from the University of Richmond. Prior to her graduate studies at UMBC, she was the Research Coordinator for the Infant and Toddler Mental Health Program at Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, D.C. Her work focused on feeding disorders in young children, and disruptive behavior in toddlers. Currently, her research interests in pediatric psychology include the impact of childhood chronic illness on family functioning, as well as children’s social adjustment and pain management.

Caitlin Thompson is a third-year clinical psychology graduate student at UMBC with
a concentration in Child Clinical. She received her B.A. from Wesleyan
University in 2006. Prior to attending UMBC, she worked as a research
assistant at the Center for the Advancement of Perioperative Health at
Yale University. Her research there focused on improving the overall
quality of life in children and their families before, during, and after
surgery. Caitlin’s current research interests include the management of
pain in children and the effects that childhood chronic illness have on
child and family functioning.
