Apply For Graduation (UNDERGRADUATE)

Undergraduate students within two semesters (90 or more credits) of completing their degree requirements are eligible to apply for graduation. Prior to this time, students are encouraged to review their Degree Audit Report via the Topics tab, then selecting Advising and Student Support in myUMBC.

To apply for graduation, access the online Undergraduate Diploma Application located on myUMBC under the "Topics" tab, then selecting Classes and Grades. You will need your myUMBC username and password to access and completed the Undergraduate Diploma Application.

The Undergraduate Diploma Application must be submitted by the following
deadlines:

For May Graduation - February 15
For August Graduation - June 15
For December Graduation - September 15 (Extended to September 30)

Note: Commencement ceremonies are held in May and December only. Candidates for August graduation are invited to participate in the December Commencement ceremony.

A review, by both the academic department and the Office of the Registrar, is conducted for each candidate’s status towards completion of the degree requirements. All majors, minors, and certificates are reviewed, as well as the general education requirements. Candidates are notified by mail of their status mid-semester.
