Non-degree and visiting students must first apply for admission before registering. Once
admitted, you will activate myUMBC computer account, and then use this account to
register for your semester courses.

New non-degree students for the Spring 2009 semester may register during Jan 22-23, 2009 and Late Registration, Jan 26- Feb 6, 2009 (a $20.00 late registration fee will be
assessed).

Current non-degree students who were enrolled at UMBC during Fall 2008 and who
wish to take courses in the Spring semester may register during the General
Registration period which begins on Dec 6, 2008.

For both new and continuing non-degree students, a $20.00 late registration fee will be
assessed for registration beginning Jan 26 , 2009. Students who have already
registered may make adjustments to their schedule through the add/drop period ending on
Feb 6, 2009.

You will know that you have been admitted when you can activate your myUMBC
account.

Log onto  myUMBC.

Type in:
Username (same as login name for email account)
Password (same as password for email account)

Check the online schedule of classes for a complete list of Spring 2009 courses.
Click on the Academics tab at the top of the myUMBC page
Scroll down to the Resources heading
Click on the link to the Schedule of Classes for Spring 2009.

Select the course(s) you want, and jot down the four digit schedule number in the
brackets [****]. It isn’t required but may be helpful to complete registration.

Return to the myUMBC Academics page, and click on the Add/Drop Classes link
(located under the Schedule heading) and then follow the online commands to register.
