Report an invention in three easy steps

Step 1

Complete an invention disclosure form

Download the Invention Disclosure Form (IDF)  and complete it by hand (please print) or open the form, fill-in the appropriate information, and print the completed document.  It will be necessary to attach to the IDF a detailed description or a manuscript fully describing the invention.

Step 2

Obtain signatures from all the inventors

The completed IDF must be signed by all of the inventors named on the form.

 

Step 3

Send the invention discloure form to OTD

The completed and signed IDF can be submitted to OTD by dropping-off the form at OTD, sending it via campus mail, or by U.S. mail.
