Fall 2013 Housing
Week of July 15:
30 Distance C and D transfers will be offered this week with the earliest application dates. 12 freshman living in the B range with the earliest application dates will also be offered. 20+ C and D transfers will be offered space directly from Walker Avenue Apartments.

Remember that the Off-Campus Housing Tour is taking place this Wednesday, July 17th and there is still space available.  This is a free event to connect you with roommates and apartment complexes on the UMBC shuttle route.  Please contact Off-Campus Student Services 410-455-2770 for details and to sign up.

Housing Offers (Priority consideration)
On-campus housing will be offered based on the following factors:

  • Distance from campus: Students living the furthest away will receive first consideration. Distance is categorized into the following four categories:
    • A (0-8 miles), B (9-25 miles), C (26-50 miles) and D (51 + miles)
  • Application Date: Within a given Distance and Class Standing we will look at application date to determine priority consideration.
  • Priority for On-Campus Housing 2012-2013:
    1. Incoming Transfer students distance C/D
    2. Incoming Transfer students distance A/B
    3. Commuter students distance C/D
    4. Commuter students distance A/B
Things you can do if you are on the Waiting List:
  • Make sure your campus housing application has the most up-to-date data for you.
  • Make sure you are checking your UMBC email account regularly.
  • Make sure your contact information is updated in my UMBC so that if we mail communication to you it will be received.
