Reservation (Meal) Plans
Meal plan participants have 26 opportunities (meal periods) to dine each week. Breakfast, lunch, dinner or late night are available Monday - Friday. During weekends meals include brunch, dinner or late night.   All meal plans are for the use of the cardholder only.  Guest meals may be purchased with Flex Dollars, cash, credit card (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, & AMEX), or Campus Cash.

All residents living in Chesapeake, Erickson, Harbor, Patapsco, Potomac and Susquehanna residence halls MUST choose a “Standard Resident Meal Plan”.   Residents that live in Hillside, Terrace, Walker Avenue and West Hill apartments have the option to choose a “Standard Resident Meal Plan” or an “Optional Commuter/Apartment Meal Plan”.  In addition, residents that live in Potomac and a Harbor 9-month floor also need to choose a “Winter Session” meal plan.  These residents will receive information during the fall semester regarding their options.

Meal Exchange Program
The meal exchange program applies to meals eaten at most retail Dining Services venues The Commons, University Center, AOK Library, and the Coffee Shoppe.  Each meal period is assigned a dollar amount, providing a cash allowance for it ems on the menu.  Students may select any items on the menu or a predetermined combo meal available for that amount then use their cash allowance toward the cost of your items.  If your selections total more than the allotted allowance, you can pay the balance at the time of purchase with cash, Flex Dollars, C-Cash or a credit card.

  • Breakfast (6:00 a.m. - 10:45 a.m.) $4.50
  • Lunch (10:45 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.) $5.00
  • Dinner (4:00 p.m.- 8:00 p.m.) $5.00
  • Late Night (8:00 p.m. - 2:00 a.m.) $5.00

The cash allowance program is not an all-you-care-to-eat program like the traditional meal program in the Dining Hall.

Flex Dollars
Flex Dollars work like a debit card. Funds are deposited into your account as part of your Meal Plan and purchases are automatically deducted at the cash register. The terminal will display your remaining balance at the end of each purchase. Flex Dollars can only be used in Dining Services locations.

Flex Dollars are designed to help you cover between meals or late night snacks at the various retail locations on campus, guest meal purchases, and amounts that exceed the Cash Allowance value. Unused Flex Dollars do not carry over from semester to semester.
