Wait List Instructions

If you did not receive your preferred roommates, community, type of housing or space you have the option to sign up on a wait list. Wait lists will be made available on Monday, April 28 starting at 12 noon. Log into your Housing Selection account, www.umbc.edu/reslife/bmore, and select "Wait List" at the bottom of the page.

Before signing up ask yourself the following questions:

Is the person you live with more important than where you live? If so, do the following:

1. Select the category "ROOMMATE".
2. Choose "DOUBLE" if you are requesting one person or "SUITE" if you want to live with three other people.
3. Each person needs to add him/herself to a wait list.
4. Indicate in the memo field who you want to room with and any community preferences.

Is the community you live in more important? If so, do the following:

1. Select the type of housing category you prefer "Apartment", "Hall" or "Single".
2. Choose the community in order of preference.
3. Indicate in the memo field any specific information on room or location in the community.
