| Patapsco East & South
is the only continuous occupancy residence hall. It is open for
the entire academic year, while Chesapeake, Erickson, Potomac,
Susquehanna, and most of Harbor close for Thanksgiving, winter and
spring breaks. Residents who need to stay on campus during breaks
can stay in the hall. The fall of 1972 saw the opening of Patapsco Hall.
Patapsco's basement was the site of Residential Life's administrative
offices until 1982, when the offices were moved to the Hillcrest
Building. Patapsco Hall is named for the Patapsco River which flows
through Baltimore to the Bay, and supports Maryland's major shipping
industry. In 2010, the west wing was opened, adding more rooms to Potapsco Hall. |

| Patapsco's large community/meeting room is frequently
the site of aerobics and martial arts classes. Patapsco's Quiet
Lifestyle Floor is located in Basement East. |
