Construction is wrapping up on the Patapsco Addition. Once completed an additional 189+ new beds will be added to Patapsco Hall. This new 4-story addition to the existing building will be available for residents this August for the 2011-2012 academic year!

Bedroom furniture will begin to be delivered shortly.
Plantings are already in place on the green roof. You can see a glimpse of the green roof if you look at the current webcam shot below. It's located on the right side of the addition.
Landscaping around True Grits is shaping up nicely!

Your Safety Is Important!
Students living in Patapsco, Susquehanna, Chesapeake and Potomac halls are reminded that there will be construction noise from 7AM-7PM Monday-Saturday. New pathways and signage have been created to move you safely around the construction zones. For your safety, please do not enter any fenced construction areas or designated traffic lanes for large trucks. No work personnel will enter any residence hall without an escort and all staff will have identification cards clearly visible at all times. If you notice a safety concern or inappropriate behavior, you are asked to report it immediately to Residential Life at 410-455-2951 or the FXIT line at 410-455-3948 from 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday. You can also report any concerns to your residence hall front desk 24 hours a day. We appreciate your patience and cooperation for a successful semester “under construction”!
New Recreation Space and Landscaping!
The new Patapsco Addition resident recreational amenity additions are as
follows:
New Basketball Court located near Back Road on the west side of True
Grits, will feature a regulation size basketball court with two
retaining walls designed for spectator seating next to the court . The
court will be surrounded by a 10-foot tall fence to aid in ball
retention within the court area.
The new volleyball will be located behind Chesapeake Hall and will be a
regulation size sand court with a short surrounding fence to aid
in ball retention in the court area. Also included in the amenities are
a charcoal grill and outdoor furnishings adjacent to the court.
Both courts will have outdoor lighting available on an as needed basis
for court use.
