Once the winners are selected by a committee lead by the NRHH Vice President for Recognition, the winners submitted to the Central Atlantic Affiliate of College and University Residence Halls (CAACURH).  UMBC nominees compete against other nominees from the region.  Nominations that are selected at the regional are sent to the National Association of College and University Residence Halls (NACURH) for national competition.

How do OTMs Work?

OTMs are awarded each month by the OTM Committee.  The committee is composed of NRHH members and chaired by the Vice President for Recognition.  All nominations are judged according to criteria established for each category.  Once the Committee has chosen the winning nominations, the awards for OTMs are presented by the NRHH president to the person or group being honored at a general body meeting of the Resident Student Association.

Once the campus awards have been decided, the Vice President for Recognition prepares and sends the campus awards to the regional level. Regional level OTM winners are sent to Nationals, which is a tremendous honor.
