UMBC Student Affairs Staff Development Committee
The Division of Student Affairs at UMBC is
led by Dr. Charles J. Fey. Within the division, the Staff Development
Committee seeks to provide Professional Development Opportunities for
Student Affairs practitioners. The UMBC Division of Student Affairs provides
high quality services that extend learning beyond the classroom. This
division commits to creating a campus climate that includes all, supports
diversity, promotes social justice, and fosters student success.

Maryland College Personnel Association (MCPA)
MCPA is a state affiliate of the ACPA, College Student Educators International. MCPA
exists to: provide leadership to college student educators in the state of Maryland; familiarize college student educators and other professionals with best practices and current trends leading to productive chance and enhanced student learning; provide a variety of professional development opportunities for college educators; serve as a catalyst for collaborations between college student educators and organizations concerned with college students.|

Commission on Assessment for Student Development (CASD)
The mission of the Commission on the Assessment for
Student Development, is to support and improve the ethical practice of
assessment (which may include research and evaluation) to improve practice
and decision-making about student learning within student affairs and higher
education.
