By federal regulation, Student Business Services cannot discuss personal billing information with anyone other than the student unless we are given written authorization to do so.

Students must complete an Authorization to Release Student Information form before our office can release billing information to parents/others via telephone, email and in person.

Students can grant parents/others online access to their billing information by creating a Parent PIN on their myUMBC account under the Billing & Personal Finances topic page by selecting Payments & Billing. 

Once a Parent PIN has been created parents/others can access student ebills, make online payments, and enroll in the Monthly Payment Plan.

Please keep in mind that parents/others will not have access to academic information or to the students’ Account Inquiry section on myUMBC.
