Dr. Peter Hoch

Dr. Hoch recently retired from Lockheed Martin after a distinguished career of nearly 43 years of industrial R&D and Systems Engineering experience focused on defense and intelligence applications.  This includes over 27 years of architecture and systems engineering experience in national level C3I for nuclear weapons employment, continuity of government, survivability of leadership facilities, communications, surveillance and warning and intelligence. His most recent position was Chief Engineer of the Missile Defense National Team. Prior to that, he was Director of Technology at Lockheed Martin Mission Systems in Gaithersburg, MD.

Dr. Hoch is a recognized leader in Systems Engineering.  While at Lockheed Martin he sponsored and developed an extensive training program to modernize the Systems Engineering profession through the use of modern tools and practices. Mr. Hoch is a Life member of IEEE and served as Washington Chapter Chairman for the Professional Technical Group on Information Theory.  He is a member of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics and the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association.  He also is a member of the National Academy of Sciences and was a member of its Space Panel and Consultant to the Naval Studies Board, sponsored by the Chief of Naval Operations (1979-1996).
