We strongly encourage you to attend the Graduate School student orientation followed by the program orientation on August 26th. It is a wonderful opportunity to become familiar with the campus, meet other students in your program and start the semester well informed.

About myUMBC
myUMBC is UMBC’s electronic “One Stop Shop” for a number of services you’ll use as a UMBC student such as paying your bill, checking your account, getting a parking permit, accessing your email, managing your email accounts and logging into Blackboard.
Once you have created your UMBC account, you can log into myUMBC anywhere, anytime 24/7. All new students should become familiar with the many services and resources available on this site. To learn more, click here: https://my.umbc.edu/blog/
Registering for Classes
After activating your myUMBC account you may register online. Refer to the Schedule of Classes for course listings. Some courses may require course permission, please contact Ms. Lisa Gambino at gambino@umbc.edu to receive course registration permission.
Instructions for registering for classes can be found via myUMBC under the “Classes & Grades” topic.
Parking Services
All students attending classes on campus are required to secure a parking permit. Students may register for a parking permit online via myUMBC.
Log into myUMBC, select Parking and Transportation under “Topics”, select “Manage Parking Account”.
UMBC Campus Card
All new students should apply for the UMBC campus card. This photo ID card provides access to a number of campus services and facilities. An “add value” feature allows you to add money on the card and use as a debit card for cashless purchases on campus, including food, vending, copying and bookstore merchandise. Campus cards can be obtained through Communication Services located in University Center, Room 112.

Monday-Friday 8a.m.-4p.m.
Move-In Weekend typically has special weekend hours.
