UMBC, in collaboration with the University System of Maryland and The Universities at Shady Grove, offers an opportunity for post baccalaureate students to reach their educational goals through various degree programs. Realizing the multiple demands placed on working professionals, UMBC offers two graduate programs geared towards accommodating this population.
The Masters in Professional Studies (M.P.S): Geographic Information Systems and the Masters in Professional Students (M.P.S): Industrial and Organizational Psychology allow students to register for courses during the evening and weekends. Following this format, students are able to complete the programs within two years.
What is an MPS in Industrial/Organizational Psychology?
UMBC's Master's in Professional Studies (M.P.S.): Industrial /Organizational Psychology is a unique, highly applied program, which includes an Advisory Board comprised of representatives from business, industry and government who provide valuable input on program and curriculum development.

The Master in Professional Studies (M.P.S.): Geographic Information Systems (GIS) is a 30-credit graduate program that will provide an advanced-level of education to professionals working or interested in the region's geospatial technology industry.
