UMBC
students have the opportunity to step outside the boundaries
of the classroom and experience the real world through co-operative
education and internships. In addition to gaining valuable work
experience, many students can also receive three credits in
their major.
Students
attending classes at Shady Grove through UMBC may visit the
third floor of building one from 8:30 A.M. to 5:30 P.M on Wednesdays
and Thursdays for help with resumes and cover letters as well
as internship and co-op placement. Internship Coordinator Andy
Cruz has developed internship opportunities with the local community
and enjoys helping Shady Grove students achieve through applied
learning.
