AGNG320: Strength-Based Approaches to Promoting Health and Wellness in Aging Services I
Robin Majeski, Ph.D., R.N., is currently clinical associate professor and program director of the undergraduate Management of Aging Services program at UMBC-Shady Grove. She has extensive experience in the online development of undergraduate academic programs and courses in social science, gerontology, and management of aging services. She has conducted presentations on gerontological and aging services education at gerontology conferences. Dr. Majeski is former Chair of the Maryland Consortium of Gerontology in Higher Education and has authored publications on gerontological education. She has worked as a community health educator and nurse. Her special interest areas include health promotion in aging, aging in place, mind-body medicine, complementary/alternative medicine, and the role of the arts in successful aging. She holds a Ph.D. in Human Development/Education from the University of Maryland at College Park, an MA in Religious Studies and B.S.N. from Catholic University of America.
