Flor Alas, UMBC-Shady Grove Political Science student and Special Projects Intern at the Montgomery County Executive's Office of Community Partnerships, represented the County Executive's Office at the first Salvadoran American Festival on August 6. She handed Jorge Granados, president of the Association of Salvadoran American Transnational Communities (COTSA), the county proclamation recognizing the National Salvadoran American Day.
