TRANSFER CREDIT SERVICES

If you are transferring to UMBC or if you decide to take a college course at another institution once you’ve begun your academic career at UMBC, the Office of the Registrar provide a number of transfer credit services to assist you.

As a new transfer student, you will receive an evaluation of your transfer credits within a few weeks of your admission to UMBC. The evaluation is available through My Academic Profile (MAP) on the Academics tab of your myUMBC aaccount. Built from the official transcripts sent to us by your previous institution(s), your Transfer Course List in MAP will list all your classes from each institution(s) you have attended. In addition to your Transfer Courses, you will have access to your Undergraduate Progress Report (UPR) which will indicate which of your transfer courses were applied to our General Education Requirements (GFRs/GEPs) and university requirements. You will be able to see which of those requirements have been completed through previous coursework, and which requirements you will need to complete during your studies at UMBC.
