Fencing places at Choco Therapy Open

Sophomore, Glenn Langan, recently placed 3rd out of 25 in the Choco Therapy Open in a mixed (women's and men's) saber tournament. Glenn earned his E2011 in saber. In fencing, fencers start out as a U (unrated) and when the fencers place high enough in certain tournaments they earn letters (E-A) in their specific weapon (depending on if the fencer placed high in a foil, epee, or saber tournament). Less than 5% of college fencers in UMBC's league have letters in their weapon, so Glenn's performance has helped raised the prestige of UMBC by earning his E.

At UMBC, out of the 35 or so fencers, only 3 fencers have an E. To see more results please follow the link below. Anyone listed with "club TGFC" is a UMBC fencer:
