Wrestling Wins C. Douglas Cherry Invitational

The Wrestling team competed at the 14th Annual C. Douglas Cherry Invitation Wrestling Tournament and placed 1st out of 14 teams.  This was the first time UMBC Wrestling has ever won an individual tournament outside of their home tournaments. Highlights of the tournament came from: Alec Pence who took home the indivudal title at 184 pounds and Daniel Carr who was honored with teh most falls, elast time award for his four pins.  9 wrestlers placed.

1st place: Alec Pence (184)
2nd place: Greg Robinson(
125), Brian Samuels (149), Ryan White (174) and Steve Neshewat (197)
3rd place:
Kekura Musa (141) and Dan Carr (157)
4th place:
Billy Kuczarski (165) and Karim Mansour (285)

The team will be hosting JMU and PSU in their last home tournament on Feb. 13th from 2-8pm. GO DAWGS!!!!
