The Office of Summer, Winter and Special Programs The Office of Summer, Winter and Special Programs (OSWSP), an office of Continuing and Professional Studies, administers special sessions. OSWSP manages the calendar and schedule of classes, coordinates faculty contracts and payroll, publicizes special sessions, and supports academic departments. The academic departments coordinate faculty appointments, and propose and offer special session courses. Summer Session includes two six week sessions from late May (after Memorial Day) through mid-August. Most courses are scheduled for six or eight weeks. Four or twelve week courses are also offered. Students may earn up to 16 credit hours. Winter Session is a condensed, intensive semester scheduled for three or four weeks in January. Students may earn up to 4.5 credit hours. |
