Course Proposals - Summer Session 2012

Course proposals for Summer 2012 will be accepted beginning in Mid-November.

With PeopleSoft Student Administration (SA) academic departments now have two options for course scheduling:

1.  Academic Department Builds the Schedule

Scheduling Coordinators can now build and update the schedule of classes. Departments should establish internal procedures to collect course information from faculty, compile a draft department schedule, and enter the proposed schedule in SA by Monday, January 9, 2012.

A Hardcopy Summer 2012 Course Proposal Form is available for internal department use.  Scheduling coordinators can download and distribute this form to faculty (for internal academic department use only - do not submit this form to Summer and Winter Programs).

2.  The Office of Summer, Winter & Special Programs Builds the Schedule

The OSWSP is no longer accepting proposals from faculty.  Faculty must submit their summer or winter course proposal to their department scheduling coordinator.  Once the schedule is finalized and approved by the department chair, the academic department must complete the Summer & Winter Session Scheduling Worksheet and submit it as an attachment to an RT Ticket (select the "Schedule" option).  Once received, the OSWSP will build the proposed schedule in SA.  Class schedule details must be submitted to OSWSP by Monday, January 9, 2012.

All proposed schedules are reviewed and approved by the department chair. The Special Sessions Policy Committee reviews and approves the proposed schedule before it is finalized and published.  For scheduling assistance, contact our office or submit an RT Ticket (select the "Schedule" option).
