Grades & Final Exams

Submitting Course Grades
All grades must be submitted online through your myUMBC account.  Go to "Faculty Center" to Manage Grade Rosters and submit grades.

Once final grades are entered for all students on the grade roster and you are prepared to submit your final grades to the Registrar's Office, you must change the approval status to "approved."  The approved status is what actually submits your grades to the Registrar's Office.  If grades are only saved and the approval status is not changed, they will not be successfully received by the Registrar's Office.  Please locate the "approval status" when you are ready to submit your grades and be sure you have changed it to "approved."

PeopleSoft SA does not send back written confirmation that grades have been received by the Registrar's Office.  It is important that you verify that the Approval Status has been changed to "approved" so that you know your grades have been successfully submitted.

Final grades are available to students on myUMBC two to three days after final grades are due to the Registrar's office. Grades are not mailed.  More information on grade processing including grade changes, incomplete grades and repeat policy can be found on the Registrar's website.

Final Exams

Final exams are typically scheduled on the last class day.

Course Evaluations

Course evaluations for professional program courses are administered by the Office of Professional Programs. 

Course evaluations for summer and winter session courses are not required by UMBC.  The Office of Summer, Winter and Special Programs (OSWSP) offers an optional Course Evaluation Form for instructors.
