Teaching Schedule, Rosters, and Wait Lists

Class rosters, teaching schedules, wait lists and much more is accessbile to faculty online.  Log into your myUMBC account and go to "Faculty Center" for information on how to:

• View class times and locations
• View class rosters and wait lists
  
• Grant course permissions
  
• Provide advising clearance
• View advising authorizations you’ve granted

Wait Lists

Instructors and academic departments determine whether or not a class will have a wait list.  Registrations are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis and once a course reaches maximum capacity, the course is “closed” and new registrations are blocked.  If there is no wait list, the course will automatically reopen if a student drops from the course.  If there is a wait list, students are moved off the wait list and enrolled into the class by an automated process once space becomes available.  Students are enrolled in the class according to their position on the waitlist.

Note: Auto-enroll from the wait list will end 3 days prior to the first day of the session.
